There are a total of 260 vacancies announced for the June 2026 course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala. The recruitment spans across the Executive, Technical, and Education branches, including coveted roles such as General Service (GS/X), Hydro Cadre, Air Traffic Controller (ATC), Pilot, Naval Air Operations Officer (NAOO), Logistics, Law, Education, Engineering, Electrical, and Naval Constructor.
Eligible candidates from diverse educational backgrounds, including B.Com, B.Sc, B.Tech/B.E, LLB, M.Sc, M.E/M.Tech, MBA/PGDM, and MCA, are encouraged to apply. Specific eligibility criteria, such as minimum qualifying marks (usually 60%) and recognized degrees, apply for different branches. For instance, branch-specific degrees are required for technical streams, and law candidates must possess degrees recognized by the Bar Council of India. The age limits vary according to the branch, generally ranging from candidates born between July 2, 1996 and January 1, 2007 for different cadres. NCC certificate holders also benefit from relaxation in cut-off marks.
The application process is strictly online, starting August 9, 2025 and closing September 1, 2025. After successful submission, shortlisted candidates will be called for the SSB interview. Importantly, there is no written examination for this entry; selection is based on merit and performance in the SSB interview, which offers a transparent pathway for aspiring officers. The tenure of SSC is initially 12 years, extendable by 2 years, allowing up to 14 years of service. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have completed or be in the final year of their qualifying degree with the specified minimum marks. The detailed requirements for each branch are as follows:
General Service (GS(X)/Hydro): BE/B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.
Pilot/Naval Air Operations Officer (NAOO)/Air Traffic Controller (ATC): BE/B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. (Candidates must also have 60% aggregate marks in class X and XII and a minimum of 60% in English in either class X or class XII).
Logistics:
- BE/B.Tech in any discipline with First Class, or
- MBA with First Class, or
- B.Sc / B.Com / B.Sc.(IT) with First Class along with a PG Diploma in Finance / Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Material Management, or
- MCA / M.Sc (IT) with First Class.
Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre (NAIC): BE/B.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks in one of the following streams:

Selection Process
