Scheme of the Examination for RRB Group-D Class-IV
The Examination will be conducted in Three Phase
Phase – I Computer-Based Examination (CBT) (objective type with multiple choices)
Phase – II Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Phase – III Document Verification (DV)

 

 

RRB Group-D Class-IV CBT Exam Pattern

Mathematics
General Intelligence and reasoning
General Science
General Awareness on current affairs
100 Questions 90 Minutes (Total)
Negative marks shall be awarded for every wrong answer. 1/3 marks shall be deducted for every wrong answer.
Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST-30%.
The standard of the examination will be 10th standard level.

 

 

Syllabus For Group-D Class-IV (CBT) Examination
Mathematics
Number system, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, BODMAS, Elementary Statistics, Square root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry etc.
General Intelligence and reasoning
Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions, Coding and Decoding,  Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision making, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Classification,  Similarities and Differences etc.
General Science
The syllabus under this shall cover Chemistry, Life Sciences and Physics  of 10 standard level.
General Awareness on current affairs
Current affairs in Sports, Culture, Science & Technology, Economics, Politics, Personalities,  and any other subjects of importance.
Eligibility Criteria
10th pass or 10th+ National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
